Chaga is called the king of mushrooms and has been used in traditional medicine for centuries. Unlike other mushrooms, it has a cork-like texture and dark brown colour. Interestingly, it grows mainly on birch trees and can take 10 to 50 years to grow to maturity. Chaga Viridian comes from the unpolluted air of Finland, which provides a pristine environment for the finest mushrooms. Chaga grows here in a natural sustainable cultivator (=forest) where it is harvested gently. Here, the chaga is 'planted' into trees - part of the mycelium is inserted into a small hole in the tree trunk, from where the whole fruit subsequently grows. The longevity of the mushroom and the whole forest is ensured.

Organic Chaga is a supplement of the MOG FREE category, i.e. Mycelium on Grain FREE. The extract is made directly from the mushroom growing directly on the tree, i.e. in a natural symbiosis of quality natural wood = maximum strength. Mycelium on Grain (MOG), i.e. the mycelium (root structure of the fungus) grown in a low-cost way on cereals and rice (different composition with a high proportion of cereal polysaccharides), all usually without a detailed specification of the bioactive ingredients on the product label (very often only a general indication of the polysaccharide content = starch).

Organic Chaga is naturally rich in nutrients, and of course it is pure in terms of heavy metals and other undesirable substances. After harvesting, the mushroom is gently dried and extracted using a unique fresh water and ultrasonic technique. This carefully opens the cell wall surrounding the bioactive compounds while preserving their properties - a process that enhances bioavailability and improves absorption. Each capsule contains 20 mg of beta glucans standardized to 1-3, 1-6. No magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide or shellac

Titanium dioxide or titanium white is used as a colouring agent. You'll find it in many pharmaceutical products, common dietary supplements, industrially processed foods, on tennis courts where it forms white lines around the court, and on the Saturn V rocket where it helped as an outdoor coating. Magnesium stearate is used as a lubricant - it prevents the capsules from catching on the production line. In combination with water and soap, it forms an insoluble substance that forms, for example, the typical non-removable rings on bathtubs. Shellac is a resin secreted by the female lac worm, an insect native to India. The sheets of this resin dissolve in ethyl alcohol to form liquid shellac, which is used as a varnish and glaze. These substances are commonly used in dietary supplements, medicines and foods. They are not found in Viridian supplements.

Eco-friendly bottles
