Life Extension Boron, 100 Capsules
Life Extension Boron from Life Extension is very important for maintaining normal health.
Product description Life Extension Boron
Boron plays a role in building bone strength by metabolizing magnesium and calcium in bone formation. Therefore, sufficient amounts of this mineral in the body supports the bone formation process, which can help maintain normal bone strength, especially in older people. It may also play a role in maintaining joint and prostate health.
Why it works:
A natural part of the aging process can be the weakening of bones and joints in the human body. Insufficient levels of boron can lead to negative changes in bone formation and maintenance [1]. This is because this mineral is an essential nutrient for the metabolism of calcium, magnesium and vitamin D, which are essential for bone health [2-6]. In addition, it can also support joint health. It can also affect human steroid hormone levels, and dietary intake of this nutrient can promote a healthy prostate [7-11]. Therefore, maintaining adequate levels of this essential mineral can help maintain normal bone strength as well as joint and prostate health in old age.
Product Science:
The trace mineral boron has been shown to support a healthy bone matrix. A deficiency of this mineral can result in limited calcium absorption and this mineral can often be underutilized [12]. Scientists have shown that boron is an essential factor in facilitating the effects of key nutrients such as calcium, magnesium and vitamin D on bone building. Many studies also show that it is essential for maintaining and improving bone health [12].
Researchers have published a study on boron supplementation in postmenopausal women. Adequate intake of this mineral has been shown to be vital for maintaining the body's stores of calcium and magnesium in the bones [13].
New studies also suggest that it also plays a role in promoting healthy joints, a healthy prostate, maintaining cognitive function, and may offer antioxidant protection [14-18].
