Chia seeds contain twice as much fibre as cereal flakes, three times more selenium than flaxseeds and five times more calcium than milk. They have more omega-3 fatty acids than salmon and are richer in iron than spinach. Still feel like chia seeds aren't a superfood?

The seeds are hydrophilic, having the ability to absorb up to 12 times their weight in water. Once absorbed, they form a protective gel that gives chia seed-based foods and beverages their unique texture.

14% of the volume of chia seeds are proteins and amino acids, which further promote efficient protein production in our bodies. Compared to other plants, they contain almost the most protein.

Recommended dosage:

• You can take chia seeds in any way you like. Chia seeds can be used in any way. You can also try grinding them into a fine powder and use them to thicken other foods. The maximum recommended daily dose is 25 g = 2 teaspoons.
